Ginger Stewart currently serves as the Bridgemark Executive Director of School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler and officially began her career in education in 1992. Mrs. Stewart has served in the private and public school setting. Prior to Bridgemark, she taught 24 years in the classroom and worked four years in administration. She is currently training to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist through The Shelton School in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Stewart’s educational journey has taken her to Lone Grove, OK, Brownsboro ISD, All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler and Bullard ISD. During her career, she has taken on many leadership roles. From 2016-2020 she served as an assistant principal on two campuses in Bullard. She has served in many capacities including: language arts chair, team leader, faculty donations coordinator for spring gala, UIL coordinator and as a presenter at a behavior conference. She is also the founder of Teachers Helping Teachers TX, a Facebook group, which held a free workshop for teachers in the summer of 2019 with over 125 registrants. When Bridgemark was undergoing the accreditation process, Mrs. Stewart was on the Cognia school accreditation team in charge of evaluating the school’s program.
Mrs. Stewart is married to Glyn and they live on his family land in Chandler. They have two grown daughters. Lindsey, a former third grade student of Mrs. Warren’s, is now married and living on Lake Tyler and Madison is an elementary teacher in Rowlett! Mrs. Stewart is excited to be serving at Bridgemark and implementing the core of her educational beliefs!
Jaime Warren received her elementary education degree from Baylor University. She has taught in public and private schools in Texas and Oklahoma and has served as Director of a Learning Enrichment Center, providing academic support for a full spectrum of students, from those with learning differences to those needing enrichment beyond the classroom curriculum, grades K-12.
Mrs. Warren brings to her role a level of expertise that is the product of thirty years of teaching experience, a Masters of Arts in Teaching, with a multisensory specialization from Dallas Baptist University. She is also a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) with specialized training through the Shelton School of Dallas.
Mrs. Warren co-founded Bridgemark Center for Learning in 2014. Bridgemark is the fulfillment of Mrs. Warren’s passion for providing the highest level of encouragement and professional guidance to assist students in reaching their highest learning potential. Mrs. Warren currently serves as Bridgemark’s Executive Director Emerita.
Jane Adams was born in Boulder, Colorado and graduated as salutatorian from Nederland High School, a small mountain school, in 1975. She went to the University of Colorado and received her degree in Art Education in 1979.
Mrs. Adams started her teaching career as a traveling art teacher serving three elementary schools and 1,500 students in Longmont, Colorado.
Her family journey took her to Montana, Michigan, Kansas, and finally Texas. She taught elementary art for 33 years at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, retiring in 2021. She decided to jump back into teaching after visiting Bridgemark.
Mrs. Adams has been married to her husband, Cal, since 1975. They have two sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and the best grandkids ever, Wilfred, Marvin, and Annie Jane. In her spare time, she loves to garden, hike, play tennis, and be with her dogs.
Georgia Adkins graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She is certified in Computer Information Systems and loves working with students and training them on computer technology. She has a wealth of experience and talent and has taught technology in the public school system for 27 years before retiring. Bridgemark encouraged Ms. Adkins to come out of retirement in 2019 to join our staff. She is a gifted teacher and Bridgemark is thrilled to have her sharing her expertise with our students!
Wendy Baker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on children. She took her first job in educational administration in higher education working at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After moving to Southlake, Mrs. Baker continued her work in educational administration by serving as Director for a private school servicing early elementary and preschool students. During that time, she founded a ministry for home educators who were looking for a college preparatory program for their students. Mrs. Baker served as Executive Director of that school, Venture, for over fourteen years. Mrs. Baker co-founded the Bridgemark Center for Learning and serves the Bridgemark staff as a consultant. We are thankful for her experience and expertise in educational administration, training, counseling, admissions, and curriculum.
Wendy married Phil Baker in 1987 and they are blessed to have six amazing children. She is passionate about serving the Lord and ministering to families, students with learning differences, children with Type 1 Diabetes, and children in foster care. Laura Coody serves as Bridgemark’s counselor and health assistant. Mrs. Coody is a state-certified school counselor and teacher in the fields of biology and physical education. Mrs. Coody taught in the public school system for nine years before moving to the Tyler area. Laura and her husband, Tim, homeschooled their daughters, and Laura served as an administrator for their homeschool co-op for fifteen years.
Mrs. Coody has thoroughly enjoyed getting back into the swing of classroom education at Bridgemark, where she serves as the Bridgemark Counselor, PE Teacher and Action Based Learning Trainer. She also assists Mrs. Warren throughout the day in a variety of ways.
Regina Cooper graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. She served in a variety of roles for Tyler ISD at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Prior to being a classroom teacher, she spent eight years in roles as a sign language interpreter, substitute teacher, and teaching assistant.
Mrs. Cooper is beyond excited to be part of the Bridgemark family after she visited a couple of times at the request of her friend, Jennifer Gillentine. Bridgemark’s mission aligns perfectly with Mrs. Cooper’s heart and passion for students of all ages. She is thrilled about helping the students at Bridgemark find their strength to overcome any challenges on their path to success.
Mrs. Cooper has one son, Jett, two dogs and a betta fish. Outside of the classroom, she can be found going for walks, working in her flower bed, doing something crafty, or interpreting – mainly at her church.
Mrs. Cooper holds her Texas Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) Advanced Level certification for Sign Language Interpreting, as well as certifications in American Sign Language, English as a Second Language, and Special Education. She is working towards her Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) certification from the Shelton School in Dallas, and if it’s the Lord’s will, she will soon pursue a Master’s degree.
Amy Cromer graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner, CALP. She brings many years of educational expertise and experience to the Bridgemark Center. Ms. Cromer is passionate about education and helping each student find their voice, confidence, and path to success.
Ms. Cromer began her career as a first grade teacher in the Richardson Independent School District. She has also served as a first grade teacher at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler as well as taught first grade gifted and talented for the University of Tulsa School for the Gifted in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Among other educational experiences, Ms. Cromer has served as the Curriculum Director for Kids’ Kaleidoscope Preschool in Tyler, as well as Volunteer Coordinator for the Tyler Independent School District. Ms. Cromer has two daughters, Jenna and Ellen. Her family enjoys movies, shopping trips, and travel.
Christina Dunn was born and raised in San Diego, CA; however, her husband’s birthplace is now where she calls home. Christina has lived with her husband, Jesse Dunn, in Bullard, TX, since 2016. She comes to us from the Bullard ISD, where she worked as a substitute teacher and a para-professional at Bullard Primary. She switched to a full-time para-professional in 2018 and found her passion in assisting those with learning differences. She serves as Bridgemark’s administrative assistant and is excited to bring her knowledge and enthusiasm to the team.
She has two full-grown children. Her daughter is a flight attendant working out of Dallas, and her son serves in the US Army, currently stationed in Hawaii. Christina’s son and daughter-in-law have blessed her with three grandchildren. Her daughter and son-in-law have blessed her with one and have another one on the way.
Nancy Gee graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 with a degree in journalism. She worked in the public relations office at UT Tyler for five years before moving into medical billing, which she has been doing since 1983.
In the 1960s, Nancy began helping in children’s church ministry at her family’s church, St. Andrews, and she has been involved with children’s ministry ever since, from running the church bus ministry at Bascom Assembly to Sunday School and Children’s Church Director at Grace Chapel Assembly. For the past decade, Nancy has been a vital part of the Worship World ministry at Rose Heights Church.
Nancy has joined Bridgemark as the Choices teacher, where she incorporates the object lessons of her ministry with Bridgemark Lifeskills. She is excited to join her daughter, Mrs. G, in educating Bridgemark students. Since 1972, Nancy has been married to her husband, Jim. She loves the beach and devotes much of her time to her two granddaughters, Abbie and Jazmin.
Jennifer Gillentine received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Tyler in May 2002. After working at Clarkston Elementary as a first-grade teacher, she moved to All Saints Episcopal School to become a part-time kindergarten teacher and part-time learning specialist in the school’s Learning Enrichment Center (LEC) alongside Mrs. Warren. She would eventually become a full-time teacher in the LEC, working with students from Lower School to Upper School.
During this time, she received her S.E.E. Teacher Level Certification through the Shelton School and her Master’s degree in Education as a Reading Specialist from the University of Texas at Tyler in May 2012. In addition, she also earned her certifications as a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) and Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP). After Mrs. Warren left All Saints to co-found Bridgemark, Mrs. Gillentine became the Director of the LEC for three years before moving to Moore Middle School to work in the Special Education department. She received her Special Education and English as a Second Language certifications during this time.
In 2004, Mrs. Gillentine married her husband, Jason, who works for Child Protective Services. They have a snorkie, Berkman, and two cats, Harper and Lee. They love to travel, especially to England. They have been a part of the National Trivia League since 2015, competing at the local level weekly and at the national championship annually.
Mrs. Gillentine, also known as Mrs. G, is excited to join the Bridgemark family finally and believes that no matter a child’s ability, effort can kindle that ability and eventually turn it into achievement.
Emily Hatcher graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a bachelor‘s degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in early childhood education. Mrs. Hatcher has 12+ years of teaching experience in public school, most of those years as a kindergarten teacher. She also spent three years working in a Montessori school as a teacher and a few years at home raising her two sons, Owen and Bennett.
Mrs. Hatcher began her journey with Bridgemark as a parent when her oldest son, Owen, became a BCL student in 2020. Upon seeing Owen’s amazing academic and personal growth, she pursued a teaching position at BCL. She and her youngest son, Bennett, joined the Bridgemark family in 2021. Mrs. Hatcher is married and, when not teaching, enjoys family time, traveling, and lake living!!
Mrs. Hatcher believes that every child will learn when allowed to find their potential. Being a teacher at Bridgemark allows her to guide students to find their best selves and reach academic success. She feels beyond blessed to be a Bridgemark teacher!
Karen Lanford graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. She has taught many disciplines in her 40 years of teaching, with her favorites being biology, life science, and leadership. Mrs. Lanford has spent her career in both the public and private school systems. Along with her classroom responsibilities, she has enjoyed many coaching assignments at the middle school and high school levels. She recently retired from All Saints Episcopal School, where she spent 16 years teaching and coaching.
Mrs. Lanford was blessed with the opportunity to share her love of nature and the environment as director of outdoor education at All Saints. This experience changed her as an educator. Mrs. Lanford saw the change in her students as they engaged their senses in true discovery. The woods became the greatest teacher of all! Mrs. Lanford is thrilled to share her passion with our upper school students. Together, they will journey through complex and controversial environmental issues that forever change our world. She is excited to take the “inside out” with her students and ponder possible solutions to real-world problems.
Mrs. Lanford is married to David, and they live in Tyler. They are blessed with two amazing sons, Clint and Ross, and wonderful daughters-in-love, Shanda and Abby. God’s greatest gifts are their four most perfect grandsons, Sam, Jack, Daxton, and Drake. The Lanfords enjoy all outdoor activities, sports, and family time together.
Danelle Mooney graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Upon graduation, she accepted a position at a power trading company in the Metroplex area but always felt called to teach. Mrs. Mooney is married to Chad, and they have two boys who attend Bridgemark. In 2013, Mr. Mooney assumed the pastorate of a local church, and the Mooney family moved from the Dallas area, allowing Mrs. Mooney to be a stay-at-home mom for a season. After seeing what an incredible school Bridgemark is and how it changed her children’s lives, Mrs. Mooney felt it was time to pursue her long-awaited dream to teach. Mrs. Mooney has attained her Teaching Certification at Texas Teachers of Tomorrow in addition to Sequential English Education training at The Shelton School in Dallas. She is currently working to receive her Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) certification.
In her free time, Mrs. Mooney likes to spend time with her family, listen to true crime podcasts, garden, decorate, take her schnauzers for walks, and read biographies. In the summer, you will find the Mooney’s pulling their travel trailer all over Texas and the surrounding states!
Mrs. Mooney believes that there is a measure of greatness in every student and is committed to Bridgemark’s mission. She loves the nurturing atmosphere at Bridgemark and is profoundly grateful to be able to teach in such a special place.
Amie Newman has lived in Tyler since 1981 and is excited to be part of the Bridgemark staff. Mrs. Newman is all too familiar with the difficulties of learning differences as she personally struggled in school from an early age. She is the mom to three amazing children. One of her sons attended the Gow School in New York for four years. Therefore, when she heard a school in Tyler, TX was opening for students with learning differences, she immediately registered her youngest son, Branton. The Newmans are one of the charter Bridgemark families, and Branton was the youngest student enrolled in the inaugural year.
From the time Bridgemark opened its doors, Mrs. Newman has faithfully served as a volunteer. Bridgemark soon realized that she is an invaluable addition to our staff. Mrs. Newman now serves as our parent liaison, art teaching assistant, Earobics® administrator, and is available to encourage our students throughout the day.
Dawn Peterson graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Reading and English. Later in her career, she added certifications in Early Childhood and ESL. She is now working on her Certified Language Practitioner (CALP) certification. Her career spans 30-plus years in public and private schools in east Texas. She has experience teaching many grades, including kindergarten, first, second, third, fifth, and ESL. In addition, she taught 7th and 8th grade compensatory reading. She was also a Title remediation teacher for third-grade math and reading. When her children were young, she took a little time off from teaching and did some tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center in Tyler. Teaching is her passion, and it is essential to her that her students love school and are excited to be there!
Dawn is married to her husband, Tim Peterson, and has two adult children. Her daughter, Lacey, is pursuing her teaching degree from Stephen F. Austin, and her son, Landon, is a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband.
Debra Petri graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She later started the path towards her masters in Mathematics Education. Mrs. Petri taught 4th and 5th grade in JISD, prior to teaching gifted and talented classes. When her oldest son was born, Debra left the school system to stay home with him. When Ryan started preschool, Mrs. Petri began teaching preschool, and then homeschooled for a season. She joined the Bridgemark staff in 2015 and was trained at The June Shelton School in Dallas, where she earned her Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) certification.
Mrs. Petri has three amazing children. She is thankful to be a part of the Bridgemark community and all three of her children have attended Bridgemark. Bridgemark has been a wonderful blessing to their entire family.
Jennifer Roeland graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in grades 1-8 in English, Reading, and Self Contained classroom. She is currently working to receive her Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) certification. Before graduating, she accepted a first grade teaching position at Grace Community School. She taught there for two years until becoming a stay at home mom to two newly adopted babies. Mrs. Roeland also taught Pre-K at Oak Tree Academy for several years while her daughters attended there. She homeschooled her children and taught several classes at their homeschool co-op. Over the last 19 years of being a stay at home mom, the Roeland’s have added 3 more children to their family through adoption. During that time, Mrs. Roeland has been very involved in the PTA at the schools that her children attended and has held several positions on those PTA boards.
Mrs. Roeland began substitute teaching at Bridgemark after her daughter began attending in January 2020. She transitioned to a full-time position and enrolled her son as well. She wholeheartedly believes in the philosophy and mission of Bridgemark and feels that she is called to be a part of this incredible school.
Ashley Rutledge graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She has a double major in social work and sociology, where she worked as a licensed social worker for eleven years. After that, Mrs. Rutledge decided to go back and get her teachers certification in Special Education, Generalist, and English as a Second Language (ESL)
Mrs. Rutledge has a passion for teaching and feels that every child can learn. She feels that learning can be a positive experience, which is what she hopes to bring to her students at Bridgemark. In June 2015, she attended the Sequential English Education (S.E.E.) program, and officially became a CALP, Certified Academic Language Practitioner, in 2017.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Rutledge is very involved with her family and church. She married Mitch in 2003 and they have two beautiful children. They attend Colonial Hills Baptist Church and have been actively involved for many years.
Kim Strout has been educating in the homeschool community for over 20 years. She has been teaching at Venture Homeschool Enrichment since 2008. She currently manages admissions for both Venture and Bridgemark, handles all the administrative paperwork for health screenings, and maintains the Bridgemark Library. She is grateful to God and to Bridgemark for the opportunity to use her administrative gifts.
Kim and her husband, Mike, have served in Children’s Ministry in various capacities for 30+ years. She has a love for children – especially those from hard places. Along with her three biological children, she has two internationally adopted daughters. Since they were adopted at six and eight, and didn’t speak English when they came home, she is keenly aware of the flexibility and creativity needed to educate children with learning differences.
Chelsea Warriner graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is certified in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Music Education. She received intensive Sequential English Education training at The Shelton School in Dallas and is CALP-certified.
She has been teaching since 2008, and during her career, she has been able to share her love of learning and music with her students. Mrs. Warriner has had the unique opportunity to work with students of all backgrounds and in various teaching positions, including Gifted and Talented, Art, Music, Dual Language, and General Elementary Education.
Mrs. Warriner believes learning should be a joy and that each student should be treated with respect and dignity. She brings a love of learning to work with her daily and hopes that students leave her classroom with the same attitude toward learning.
Mrs. Warriner is married and has a daughter who attends Bridgemark. In her free time, Mrs. Warriner enjoys spending time with her family, reading, singing, painting, and drawing. She loves teaching at Bridgemark and hopes to make a difference in the lives of her students.
Tami Wetmore is honored to be a part of Bridgemark. She serves as a paraprofessional. Tami is the mom of six through both birth and adoption. Several of her children have different learning challenges, such as deaf/blindness, autism, and dyslexia. She has many years of experience learning how to teach to differing learning and ability levels.
Tami enjoys spending time outdoors with her kids. She usually won’t turn down any opportunity to travel and experience new places. She prefers podcasts and talk radio to music and is always up for watching a good documentary. Tami also enjoys serving on staff at a local church as the children’s ministry director for kids from birth through preschool.
